Rainfall and ETâ‚€
Rainfall represents measured local input: logged hourly and aggregated daily. ETâ‚€ represents atmospheric demand estimated from the nearest Met Office site-specific weather series, accessed via an API.
Daily monitoring of local rainfall, estimated reference evapotranspiration, soil moisture and the modelled soil water balance.

Volumetric water content is measured with a VH400 sensor logging every 6 hours. The reading represents a small local soil volume and may not describe the full root-zone profile.
The soil water balance can be modelled from the input data shown. It depends on actual evapotranspiration, drainage and soil-moisture thresholds. The model can be calibrated to estimate these parameters when I have a longer record of observations.
